Our Story

In 2020, our lives changed forever when we brought home our baby boy, Scootie. We knew right away that we wanted to spend as much time as possible with him. After a few play dates, we saw how much joy he found in playing and cuddling with new friends. It became clear how natural a small group environment was for Scootie, allowing him to thrive as a little dog who might be more vulnerable in larger settings. This inspired Liza to leave her teaching job and Dillon to start working remotely, so we could dedicate ourselves to creating a loving and joyful environment for Scootie and his friends. After seven wonderful years in Waltham, just outside of Boston, we've decided to embark on an exciting new chapter. We wanted a home with more land and outdoor space for the dogs to enjoy, so we are thrilled to be making our move to Gloucester. This seaside area is near where Liza grew up, where Dillon has spent many summers, and where Liza’s family still resides.

“We LOVE Scootie’s! After some not so great experiences at other boarding locations, we are so happy to have found a place we trust so completely. HIGHLY recommend!!”
